Bivouac
Originally we planned to Bivouac as part of the June night hike but in the end we decided to make our Bivouac at Quest instead.
On the Monday of Quest everyone in the senior section went off on a hike to a separate campsite. When we finally arrived at the campsite the rangers started to assemble as many of their ground sheets as possible to make a Bivouac shelter to sleep in. As the Young Leaders who weren’t in rangers decided to sleep in tents (wimps!) we thought it only fair we should use their ground sheets too! We also managed to pick up three other senior section members who although having pitched their own tent had found it to be occupied by a Group of Russian Rangers who didn’t seem to speak English. In all there were nine in the Bivouac and lucky for us there wasn’t much due in the morning so we didn’t even get wet!
