Party at A high place
We took the term party to mean any type of party so we decided to regress a few years and organise a children’s party complete with pass the parcel (with lots of funny forfits) and other exciting party games and food. We decided to use the Millennium stones in Ardington as our high place. We walked there along the bridle path, singing as we went of course, then we went to the top of the hill to enjoy our party on top of the sun (well the big stone representing the sun anyway). Everyone organised a game to play, Nicky brought a parachute and taught us her parachute games (it was surprisingly fun to feel like rainbows again) before we turned it into a tent to play our other games and eat all our yummy party food (party rings included naturally!).
It also gave Nicky and Harriet the chance to make their promises before we all walked back to Wantage. Our song of choice on the way home was “the Ants went marching”, and take it from us, but the time you reach 47 ants it’s hard to come up with original rhymes!
